My 20 Books of Summer 2025
I'm joining this scary challenge š¬
Hey!
If youāve been in the Bibliophileās community for at least a month or two, you know that every fourth Wednesday, instead of a post, I send out a newsletter with exclusive content that only subscribers get. Since itās summer, Iāve decided to take a break from writing newsletters and instead, will send out a post or small email every fourth Wednesday. That means, instead of only three posts a month and one newsletter, youāll be getting four posts a month or three posts a month and a fun email. In months with more than four Wednesdays, youāll get a bonus email. :)
Newsletters will resume in August and everything will go back to normal. :D
Oh, if youāre wondering what my newsletters look like, check out a little preview HERE. And, if youāre not subscribed, what are you waiting for?? Youāre missing out on so much good stuff! Scroll to the bottom of this post and subscribe now, so you donāt miss out!

Isabella Ann at The Painted Caravan recently posted ā20 Books of Summer 2025ā. I thought it would be fun to join this challenge! I highly suggest hopping over to see what Isabella Ann said about this challenge, how sheās going about it, and whoās hosting this year. Hereās an excerpt from her post:
20 Books of Summer is a lovely way to encourage and help you read some of those books that have been sitting on your shelf for to long, or help you get through some titles on your TBR list.
All you have to do is create a list of 10, 15 or 20 books you would like to read over the Summer and get ready to read your chosen few for the next three months.
You can swap or add any books you want throughout the challenge, there are no rules!
And if you donāt finish your list at the end of it, no problem! š
20 Books of Summer 2025 begins June 1st and ends on August 31st. Thatās three months of reading time! I generally average seven books a month in a school year so I think I can read 20 in three months. š«£ Problem isā¦the books I chose for myself are not the fast-paced, exciting adventure or romance books Iāve been reading for the past year. Instead, they are books on growing closer to God, classics that Iāve been putting off, and self-helps and how-tos that guide me to become a better young person. For me, this challenge is part challenge, part āexcitingā book fast. Yeah, Iām fasting from books by reading other books. š With this challenge, I hope I can slow myself down, get reaccustomed to books that stretch me, and ultimately, grow closer to God and obey Him better. The amount of books may not be very scary but Iām a little intimidated by the books I chose for myselfā¦

I assigned a number to each book and numbered slips of paper and put them in a mason jar so that I can randomly pick a number and thatās the book I have to start reading. By the the time I finish or am close to finishing that book, Iāll blindly pick out the next and read it. This continues throughout the summer until (hopefully!) I read all 20 books before August 31st.
I would love to know, what are you hoping to achieve this summer? Are you going to join the 20 (or 10 or 15) Books of Summer 2025 challenge? If so, what are some of the books you want to read?
Not only am I trying this reading challenge, Iām also challenging myself to exercise a lot more than I have been (aka zilch). Anybody else wish reading not only stretched the mind but also the body? š That would be so convenientā¦

The list of books youāre going to read has so many great titles! As weāre getting to the end of June, I hope that things have been going well for you!
Thank you for the shout out Nicole! I love your list of books and the idea of putting the titles in a jar and randomly picking one... I will have to try that out at some point. š What book did you get first to kick start the challenge?
I also love that you are challenging yourself to read more books to strengthen yourself and your beliefs. I look forward to hearing your updates throughout the summer! Happy reading, Isabella Ann šš
