Such a lovely post to read Nicole, thank you for sharing some of your favourite books! 😊

I too LOVE the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder and I would highly recommend the whole series (I re-read them every couple of years!). Some of my personal, all time favourites are: the Little House books, the Anne of Green Gables series by L. M. Montgomery, "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Brontë and the Winterling series by Sarah Prineas. I have many more though! 🤣 Have you read any of these books?

Happy reading! Isabella 📚✨

Thank you for reading, Isabella. 💛

I've read all of them except "Jane Eyre" and the Winterling series! I plan on reading "Jane Eyre" sometime soon, though. LOVE "Pride and Prejudice" 😄

Thanks and you, too!

Ooo... I would highly recommend Jane Eyre! It is such a lovely, brooding tale of loss and love. 😊 Pride and Prejudice will always be a favourite of mine, though I did read Persuasion last year and I loved it so much. Have you read any other books by Jane Austen? ✨

Pride and Prejudice was my first Austen read and it took me a while to open up Persuasion, my second Austen read, because I was afraid nothing else that Austen wrote would measure up with P&P (I was wrong 😂). Those are the only ones I've read by her but I plan on reading more in the near future! I've started Sense and Sensibilities several times but just can't seem to get past the first few chapters. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I've also tried Emma but Emma annoys me so much. 😑😆

I think I might be studying Jane Eyre for English next year. 😃

Oh lovely, I am so glad you enjoyed Persuasion too! I actually got a beautiful copy of it from my Uncle, it has the letters the characters send to each other throughout the book, including Captain Wentworth's letter! 😍 Do you know, I have the same feeling about Sense and Sensibility and Emma.... I just haven't been able to get into these stories, though I plan to try S&S again this summer as the 1995 movie is one of favourites. One I did very much enjoy was Mansfield Park, though I have read that lots of people don't like the main character, Fanny Price!

Happy reading! 💕📚

Thank you, Cho!

They're great books, packed with meaning, but not the ones that come to mind when someone says "favorite book." 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh my goodness, I LOVE Gary D Schmidt!!! Wednesday Wars is amazing! I think my favourite Gary D Schmidt book is Okay For Now :) He is a great author!

I know, right?! I've read Okay For Now twice and each time, it was amazing but also sad. Not as depressing as book three though...have you read it (Just Like That)?

Yeah, Okay For Now can be pretty sad, but I love it so much!! I have read Just Like That! That one was also amazing! Gary D Schmidt writes so funny but also realistically. And I love how the books are sometimes sad or depressing, but also they're all hopeful, and they all end realistically, but good too :)

Thanks :) Have you read his book The Labors of Hercules Beal? It features Danny Hupfer (Holling's friend) when he's grown up!

I'm pretty sure I have read that one, although I don't remember much about it. Maybe it's time for a re-read. ;)

I love reading books but I rarely ever find time to find "good books" so I'm so glad that you do that part for me already every week!
